I don't think it's been put into normal game file modes yet. Right now having a manager seems to be the only way.
7th heaven 2.2 is out now though and really easy to use if that was an issue before.

It isn't sadly no, they may work something out eventually though.

Echo-S can either be a stand alone mod (I think) or it'll be used with 7th heaven, for now.
In the future there may be a sister ray version with extra features. But no, it won't need Sister Ray.
